Strategies of European SMEs in Biotechnology: The Role of Size, Technology and Market

摘要: Both the technological and market focus of 228 European biotechnology SMEs are analysed in this paper. Data from Genetic Engineering catalogue provide a complementary representation compared to patent publications that most commonly used. Results analysis produce new view development biotech SMEs. First, no pattern specialisation by country is observed, even though three types company with different can be distinguished sample.
