摘要: We conducted a survey to determine the accuracy of clinical diagnosis measles in Zimbabwe. Between December 1996 and February 1997, we collected blood samples demographic information from sample 105 children with measles. A case was defined as person history fever, rash for three or more days, either cough, coryza, conjunctivitis. laboratory-confirmed rubella had IgM antibodies against virus respectively. total 91% met definition. Among those who definition measles, 72% were IgM-positive only, 23% 3% both viruses, 2% IgM-negative viruses. This study demonstrates importance considering selective laboratory confirmation periods high disease incidence when effectiveness vaccine is questioned.
