摘要: Objectives/Hypothesis To identify the prevalence and management of problematic residents. Additionally, we hope to factors associated with successful remediation unsuccessful otolaryngology residents. Study Design Self-reported Internet paper-based survey. Methods An anonymous survey was distributed 152 current former program directors (PDs) in 2012. The residents those were investigated. Sixty-six identified during residency, 58 66 (88%) undergoing remediation. Thirty-one (47%) did not graduate. most commonly were: change specialty (21.5%), interpersonal communication skills health professionals (13.9%), clinical judgment (10.1%). Characteristics underwent include: poor performance on in-training examination (17%, P < .01) inefficient use time (11.4%, P = .02). Conclusions A large proportion PDs this sample at least resident.
