摘要: Objective Keratocystic odontogenic tumor (KOT) is an neoplasm that shows aggressive clinical behavior and local invasiveness. Invadopodia are actin-rich cellular protrusions exhibiting proteolytic pericellular activity, thereby inducing focal invasion in neoplastic cells increasing neoplasms aggressiveness. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate immunoexpression of invadopodia-related proteins, cortactin, MT1-MMP, Tks4, Tks5, KOT. Study Design Immunohistochemistry 16 cases KOT, eight calcifying cystic (CCOT), samples the oral mucosa (OM) was carried out assess expression above described proteins basal suprabasal layer. Results KOT showed higher significant TKs4, TKs5 compared with CCOT OM samples. Significant all these observed layer Conclusions Overexpression OM. These were also overexpressed over Taken together, results suggest participation on pathogenesis lesion.
