摘要: Indigenous knowledge about biodiversity and conservation is valuable can be used to sustainably manage protected areas; however, indigenous communities continue marginalized due the belief that their values behaviors do not align with overarching mission of conservation. This paper explores extent local awareness biodiversity, area management at Khuvsgol Lake National Park, Mongolia. We investigate current levels explore perceptions toward park governance. Most respondents had a high existing held positive attitudes nature insufficient rules low trust between residents authorities may undermine objectives in long run. identify an unequal share economic benefits from tourism preferential treatment elite business owners as source conflict. Limited information channels poor communication are also for low-level participation activities. Leveraging increasing use technology, such mobile phones, serve new mechanism improved sharing transparent reporting communities, conservationists authorities.
