摘要: Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) is a spatially- and temporally-regulated process involved in physiological pathological transformations, such as embryonic development tumor progression. While the role of TGF-β an EMT-inducer has been extensively documented, molecular mechanisms regulating this their implications metastasis are still subjects intensive debates investigations. regulates EMT through both transcriptional post-transcriptional mechanisms, recent advances underline critical roles non-coding RNAs these processes. Although microRNAs lncRNAs have clearly identified effectors TGF-β-mediated EMT, contributions other atypical RNA species, piRNAs, snRNAs, snoRNAs, circRNAs, even housekeeping tRNAs, only suggested remain largely elusive. This review discusses current literature including most reports emphasizing regulatory functions provides original experimental evidence, advocates general for broader approach quest new RNAs.
