摘要: Abstract Objectives To compare red cell distribution width (RDW) between dogs with different causes of pulmonary hypertension (PH) and a control dog population to determine whether RDW was correlated severity PH as measured by echocardiography. A further aim the prognostic significance increased for PH. Animals Forty-four client-owned 79 presented single tertiary referral institution. Methods Signalment, clinical pathological echocardiographic data were obtained retrospectively from medical records PH, on Cell-Dyn 3500 compared pre- post-capillary population. Referring veterinary surgeons contacted follow-up information Kaplan–Meier analysis conducted investigate differences in survival time affected values. Results The significantly greater pre-capillary dogs. There no difference median times divided according positively mean corpuscular volume haematocrit but did not correlate variables. Conclusions An association found RDW; however there considerable overlap values associated this study.
