摘要: A generalized quantitative risk assessment for the use of source-segregated green waste (SSGW) compost in livestock production is presented. This focussed on potential risks associated with a specific product, PAS100 that meets UK publicly available specification 100 and represents majority extensive Scottish systems. hazard screening approach was used to identify all potentially hazardous agents present compost. total 497 were screened, 147 finally put forward assessment. Scenarios modelled included surface application grazing land also incorporation into soil subsequent uptake by fodder crops. Risk estimates compared those six comparator materials, including various sludges, slurries farm yard manures. Overall, five (PCB28, PCB138, PCB153, 1,2,3,4,6,7,8-HpCDD, Clopyralid) returned quotient >1 but within margins uncertainty, indicating further investigation may be required. Within limitations information, SSGW found pose less livestock, or environment, than other commonly-used amendments. While this relates product/standard UK, methodology could easily applied composts/products/situations. Therefore these results have wider applicability.
