摘要: Biomaterials have gained tremendous attention in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering applications due to their ability enhance functional regeneration. After implantation of biomaterial-based device or drug carrier, it comes contact with surrounding cells consequently elicits confined and/or chronic inflammatory responses. The immune responses biomaterials do not depend only on the method such as surgery injection but also source physicochemical properties molecular weight, chemical composition, mechanical degradation rate. Therefore, is necessary thoroughly understand biological implanted biomaterials. In this chapter, a brief discussion about different natural synthetic provided. Different strategies minimize response been discussed.
