摘要: Pyrethroids are widely used for domestic and agricultural purposes their use is increasing, especially in developing countries. Uncontrolled of these insecticides resulted entry into the food chain thereby causing toxicity to different organ systems. Allethrin one pyrethroids, but its toxicological effects underreported when compared other pyrethroids. Further, on male reproductive tract remain uncharacterized. In this study, was evaluated by administering 25-150 mg/kg body weight allethrin adult rats 60 days. The mRNA expression factors that important spermatogenesis (Scf, c-Kit, Hsf2, Ovol1, Brdt, Kdm3A, Ybx-2, Grth) steroidogenesis (StAR, 3β-HSD, 17β-HSD) significantly downregulated. Decreased levels testosterone, reduced sperm count daily production also observed due toxicity. However, quality parameters assessed computer-assisted analyzer were not affected. Spermatozoa obtained from allethrin-treated failed undergo acrosome reaction. Results study indicate affects function, thus lending further support growing evidence
