摘要: An inventory of gall inducing insects and their host plants in the Atlantic forest Pernambuco, northeastern Brazil is presented. Samples galls were taken six fragments forest. One hundred thirty-six different morphotypes insect on 79 plant species belonging to 35 families 53 genera recorded. The most attacked by galling were: Lecythidaceae, Myrtaceae, Nyctaginaceae. frequent taxa Diptera Cecidomyiidae family (95%), followed Lepidoptera Coleoptera. Galls occurred frequently leaves stems, had globoid elliptical shapes, green color absence trichomes external walls. data indicate an intermediary richness when compared other Brazilian forests.
