DSC and thermal imaging studies of methane hydrate formation and dissociation in water emulsions in crude oils

摘要: The processes of methane hydrate formation from 50 mass% water-in-oil emulsion the Mamontovskoe, Sovetskoe, Van-Eganskoe, and Vakhskoe oil deposits (East Siberia) were studied using differential scanning calorimetry. It was shown that different types thermal effects may be observed in curves corresponding to (and/or ice) emulsions. In particular on curves, we appearance a single asymmetric effect or set large number separate small effects. analysis results allowed us conclude (ice freezing) emulsions occurs as collective process, which involves lot water droplets This process some space inside sample. volume this determines type curve recorded experiment. Secondary nucleation (nucleation solid phase due contact drop with neighboring ice particle) enables fast gas all space.
