摘要: In order to understand the mechanism of osteochondrosis in pig, articular cartilage was taken from distal femoral condyles Duroc pigs exhibiting leg weakness and then examined immunohistochemically for localization matrix metalloproteinases-3 (MMP-3), one enzymes involved resolution matrix. The had typical characteristics osteochondrotic lesions, such as abnormal calcification, clefts cartilage, disappearance proteoglycan, necrotic chondrocytes. immunoreaction MMP-3 observed chondrocytes at boundary between normal proteoglycan-deficient area. Moreover, expressing showed morphology, but surrounding did not stain with toluidine blue, which indicated a lack glycosaminoglycans. These results suggest that is highly appearance expansion lesions.
