摘要: The flow of particulate materials is critical during processes such as mixing, compression and packing. Non-cohesive arching, a feature characteristic coarse free-flowing particles, has been studied extensively for silos hoppers. However, the arching powders die fill received much less attention. In this study, performance nonpareils was evaluated using specially designed filling device in order to investigate impact non-cohesive under gravity flow. Through evaluating performance, phenomenon dynamic conditions could be captured. Nonpareils with large particle size increased likelihood caused poorer narrow orifices. contrast, orifices generally better larger particles due reduced inter-particulate friction.
