摘要: Many studies have reported strength gains in older adults following high-intensity resistance training. However, the muscle contraction types examined been primarily isometric (static) or concentric (CONC; shortening). Less is known about how eccentric (ECC) responds to training efficacy of ECC contractions as stimuli these subjects, even though this type are performed most regimens and daily physical activities. In study, 15 physically active, healthy women [68 (5) years; mean (SD)] completed an 8-week program two sessions per week. Training consisted three sets eight repetitions CONC ankle plantar flexion (PF) dorsiflexion (DF), at greater than 80% initial peak torque, a standing position only. Subjects were tested supine positions for: (1) over range 10° DF 20° PF for both ECC; (2) passive resistive torque flexors 6°/s; (3) rate development. All testing was done 30°/s. Significant increases (P < 0.01) found (↑30%) (↑17%) position. No significant changes occurred measured with subjects position, either summary, only dorsiflexors, which trained using contractions. Improvements specific training, has implications transferability functional tasks such maintaining gait.
