摘要: Large spiral bacteria similar in morphology to Helicobacter felis are common the stomachs of many animal species including cats, dogs, pigs, non-human primates, and a variety wild carnivores.1, 3–5, 8 These bacteria, first referred as spirilla,5, 10 later Gastrospirillum sp,6 most likely members helicobacter genus. Several isolates have been given provisional name, H. heilmannii. 9 They not culturable vitro, however, speciation has limited PCR amplification sequencing bacterial 16S rRNA genes infected gastric scrapings.9 Thus, study these is hindered by lack pure populations free from contaminating other debris.
