How Has Internet Addiction Research Evolved Since the Advent of Internet Gaming Disorder? An Overview of Cyberaddictions from a Psychological Perspective

摘要: During the past two decades, Internet addiction (IA) has been most commonly used term in research into online activities and their influence on development of behavioral addictions. The aim this review is to assess impact concept gaming disorder (IGD), proposed by American Psychiatric Association, scientific literature regarding IA. It presents a bibliometric analysis IA starting from time IGD was first proposed, with objective observing comparing topics that have arisen during period among different themes researched. findings demonstrate steady evolution, particularly publications related general aspects IA: its clinical component, prevalence psychometric measures, growing interest contextual factors promoting addictive behavior, progress conceptualization based existing theoretical models, neuropsychological studies. Nevertheless, many studies (22 %) focus specific behaviors show heterogeneity cyberaddictions, (related IGD) common, followed cybersex social networking. Although continues, investigators begun pay attention diverse spectrum cyberaddictions psychological components.
