摘要: The aim of this study was to assess the effect an experimental diet (ED), with high levels 18:1 n-9 and low eicosapentaenoic arachidonic acid ratio (EPA/AA), on fatty (FA) profile ovary eggs Seriola dumerili broodstock, in contrast a non-specific commercial (nsCD), taking wild fish lipid composition as positive reference. Two groups broodstock born captivity were fed either ED or nsCD during two consecutive spawning seasons (21 months). After 7 months feeding, displayed FA much closer fish. During second season, only group released eggs. Egg showed some minor changes throughout marginal reduction EPA late season being most striking variation. Overall, use results, which could favor spontaneous egg release from females captivity. However, lack fertilization level 18:2 n-6 tissue indicate that further improvements are needed S. formulation order enhance reproductive performance species captivity. Practical applications: resulted cultured better resembles Using diets balanced EPA/AA ratios (close fish) may have performance, at least for species.
