摘要: Ethylene oxide (ETO) sterilization of polyvinyl trays used in an antiviral screening program was initiated to overcome seasonal outbreaks bacterial and mycotic contamination tissue culture cells. Trays sterilized by 100% ETO for 5 hr after 48 prehumidification, or 12% plus 88% Freon 12 1, 3, 18 hr, followed various methods aeration, were seeded with several types cells examined contamination, toxicity, monolayer quality. A 1-hr exposure adequate sterilization, although residual toxicity cultures remained. 7-day aeration period at 37 C sufficient eliminate allow the growth good monolayers WI-38, HEp-2 primary bovine kidney Sterilization required 14 days cytotoxicity. Increased resulting from longer periods times higher temperatures detoxification.
