摘要: This paper presents a preliminary review of recent Design PhDs that identify and analyse the methodological innovation is occurring in field, order to inform future provision research training for PhDs. Six recently completed are used highlight possible philosophical practical models can be adopted by PhD design students. Four characteristics were found methodology; thesis-structural innovation, ‘pick mix’ approach, situating practice enquiry validation visual analysis. The concludes offering suggestions on how improved candidates. By being aware innovations educators will better informed when developing resources doctoral candidates, assisting supervision teams more flexible approach practice-led research.
