摘要: Abstract Conventional bioactive glasses, in bulk form, are being considered as biomaterials prosthetic applications. In this study, a new attempt was made to coat glasses on Ti-6A1-4V by plasma spraying. This method will the glass coatings (BGCs) onto metal substrate, potentially combining excellent mechanical strength of and biocompatibility glass. Analysis X-ray diffractometry (XRD) BGCs, revealed that amorphous structure preserved. BGCs were soaked simulated body fluid (SBF) evaluate their properties vitro. After soaking SBF for 1 day, precipitation fiber observed surface BGCs. 2 more days, completely covered with precipitates. The precipitates, identified apatite phase XRD, contained carbonate hydroxyl functional groups detected Fourier transform IR reflection (FTIR) spectroscopy. 16 thin layer about 10 μm, rich calcium phosphorus but poor silicon, composition CaP consistent various methods, significantly thicker than reported form. formation an has been suggested be indicative biocompatibility. All findings study indicated plasma-sprayed material is expected biocompatible vivo.
