摘要: Abstract The aim of this study was to clarify in vitro the various characteristics plasma-sprayed hydroxyapatite coatings (HACs) and evaluate vivo effect coating on osteoconductivity HACs. Three different HACs Ti-6Al-4V substrates were prepared by varying plasma spraying parameters, then characterized detail. Using a new implant model cortex canine femur, quantitative histological evaluation performed determine HACs, represented terms bone healing index (NBHI), after 2, 4 6 weeks implantation. results indicated that microstructure, phase composition, crystallinity, hydroxyl content Ca P molar ratio depended parameters. Several impurity phases, including tricalcium phosphate, tetracalcium calcium oxide, found partially decreased spraying. bonding strength influenced microstructure. Histomorphometry studies showed did not significantly affect NBHI calculations (osteoconductivity) for short-term
