摘要: Vibrio vulnificus protease, which had been purified from the culture supernatant of a strain isolated septicemic human patient, enhanced hypodermic vascular permeability and formed hemorrhagic spot caused by tissue destruction in dose-dependent manner within range 0.3–10.0 μg when injected intradermally (i.d.) into rat dorsal skin. Enhancement was observed 2 min, permeability-enhancing reaction terminated at 10 min after injection. This blocked simultaneous injection an antihistamine, diphenhydramine, suggesting that V. protease due to histamine release vivo. Hemorrhage also rapidly observed, but this not inhibited antihistamine.
