摘要: Background: The aim of this study is to evaluate the expression human telomerase reverse transcription (hTERT) enzyme in chronic periodontitis (CP) and aggressive (AgP) compared with healthy individuals. Methods: A total 79 individuals consented participate study. sample comprised (n = 30), patients CP AgP 19). Gingival tissue was collected evaluated for hTERT by Western blot immunohistochemical methods. Reverse polymerase chain reaction performed using gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) samples. Results: messenger RNA (mRNA) protein significantly higher (P <0.001). In GCF, 53.33% 68.42% were showing mRNA expression, but it not detected control group. showed did show a correlation index (GI), plaque (PI), probing depth (PD), clinical attachment loss (AL) AgP, whereas strongly correlated GI, PI, PD, AL AgP. shows significant moderate GI CP. Conclusion: High might be associated periodontal disease progression, suggesting that could potential prognostic marker. JP eriodontol 2015;86:656-665.
