摘要: bsbd@balikesir.edu.tr www.bau-sbdergisi.com OZET AMAC: Periodontologlar ve ortodontistler arasindaki sinerji, her iki disiplini de ilgilendiren kombine terapilerin klinik sonuclarini gelistirmek icin onemli firsatlar yaratir. YONTEMLER: Bu uzmanlik alaninin isbirligi, ortodontik tedaviye bagli olarak periodontal sagligin daha iyi duzeye ulasmasina buna karsilik dogru idame ile terapinin basarisinin artmasina yol acar. Periodontoloji ortodontinin beraberligi konvansiyonel tedavilerin yani sira, ‘periodontal hizlandirilmis osteojenik ortodontiTM (PAHOO)’ gibi yeni gelisen tedavi alternatifleri acisindan da rol oynar. BULGULAR: PAHOOTM teknigi, ‘ortodontik edilmis alveolar kortikotomiye ilave kemik ogmentasyonuna yonelik gretfleme’ tanimlanir. Saglikli dokulardaki deminerilizasyon-reminerilizasyon sureclerinin cabuk gecici dogasina dayali destekleyici umut veren bir teknik PAHOOTM, kortikotomi labial palatinal/lingual yuzeylerin greftlemesini takiben kuvvet uygulanmasindan olusur. Azalmis suresi, artmis hacmi post-ortodontik stabilite tekniginin en avantajlari siralanmaktadir. Kortikotomi-yardimli tarihsel kokenleri 1800’lu yillara kadar dayansa da, literaturde az sayida hayvan deneyi olgu sunumu izlenmekte bu teknigin uzun donem basarisini dogrulamak kontrollu, prospektif histolojik arastirmalara ihtiyac duyulmaktadir. SONUC: baglamda derlememizin amaci teknigini gelisim, biyolojik esaslar dusunceler cercevesinde gozden gecirmektir.
