摘要: Abstract Normal functioning of the endocrine system is essential for proper development and reproduction animals. Substances interfering with its homeostasis are called disruptors (EDs) may represent a risk health organism. One mechanisms disruption that has attracted great attention in recent years concerns alterations normal estrogen receptor (ER), but far less been paid to those substances thyroid axis, which, fish, plays several critical roles variety biological functions. In aquaculture, feedstuffs can be source hormones or persistent pollutants which act as potential EDs. this study, main purpose was assess possible estrogenic thyrogenic activities 32 commercial fish feeds. For assessment estrogenicity, new specific reporter gene assay using sea bass ERα (sbER α) developed validated. Potential thyroidal screened cell line permanently transfected luciferase under control avian α (THRα). The results obtained showed 11 18 out assayed feeds were able activate sbERα avTHRα1, respectively. present study pioneer demonstrating activity diets commercially available widely used aquaculture. Given maintaining any caused by should taken into account regards impact on farmed fish.
