摘要: Abstract Filamentous fungi have long been used for production of a range valuable products; with the advent molecular biology, it became apparent that these possess considerable potential as expression hosts heterologous proteins and small molecules. Aspergillus is an important genus, including well known species economically significant molds, widely basic genetic research. The development engineering “toolkit” , such those existing simpler yeasts bacteria, was delayed due to added complexity filamentous fungi, also lesser resources devoted their study. History host, current state art future directions are reviewed, touching on related research in other when discussing areas greatest biotechnological applications, focusing large diverse families fungal secondary metabolites.
