摘要: In search for the elusive schizophrenia pathway, candidate genes disorder from a discovery sample were localized within energy-delivering and ischemia protection pathway. To test adult vascular-ischemic (AVIH) competing neurodevelopmental hypothesis (NDH), functional genomic analyses of practically all available schizophrenia-associated gene, genome-wide association postmortem expression studies performed. Our results indicate significant overrepresentation involved in vascular function (P<0.001), vasoregulation (that is, perivascular (P<0.001) shear stress (P<0.01), cerebral neurodevelopment postischemic repair among genetic studies. These findings support both NDH AVIH. The showed an upregulation (P=0.020) combined with downregulated synaptic (P=0.005) genes, ND/repair (P=0.003) genes. Evidence AVIH is critically discussed. We conclude that probably mild disorder. Adult involves ND neurogenesis, plasticity, glutamate increased long-term potentiation excitatory neurotransmission (i-LTP). Schizophrenia might be caused by analog microvascular angina.
