摘要: Cadmium is a widely distributed industrial and environmental toxin. The principal target organ of chronic sublethal cadmium exposure the kidney. In renal epithelial cells, acute high-dose induces differential expression proteins, including heat shock proteins. However, few studies have examined protein in cells after prolonged to at concentrations. Here, we assayed total cell protein, neutral red uptake, death, levels metallothionein proteins Hsp27 inducible Hsp70 cultures MDCK LLC-PK1 treated with for 3 days. Treatment concentrations equal or greater than 10 μM (LLC-PK1) 25 (MDCK) reduced measures vitality induced death. concentration-dependent increase was detected both types as little 5 cadmium. Accumulation correlated only treatment also causing Metallothionein maximally that did not reduce vitality, further increases were These results reveal accumulate during exposure, patterns are specific concentration degree cellular injury. A potential role response cadmium-induced injury implicated by our results.
