摘要: Abstract Background We aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of methylene blue dye (MBD) for sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping in breast cancer. Methods A total 398 patients undergoing 401 SLN biopsy procedures with MBD were retrospectively reviewed divided into 3 groups based on concentration location injection. Technical success complication rates compared. Results Overall technical was 99.7%. lowest group receiving full strength a peritumoral (74%) highest that received very dilute (1.25 mg/mL) subareolar (92%, P = .004). The rate first (21%) latter (2%, .0003). Conclusions Dilute successfully maps SLNs few complications.
