摘要: Abstract In the present study, extinction strain rates and ignition temperatures of a wide range jet fuels were experimentally determined in counterflow configuration under non-premixed conditions. Similar measurements also made for single-component hydrocarbon surrogate fuels, compared with those obtained fuels. The experiments conducted at atmospheric pressure elevated temperatures. Comparing it was found that lower carbon number exhibit greater resistance to propensity. results revealed there is large variation both limits. Jet similar behavior display rather different response. Two recently proposed JP-8 surrogates tested, states reference fuel not predicted satisfactorily. Both more robust combustion JP-8, as manifested by their increased propensity extinction.
