摘要: Using a recent histochemical technique, non-erythrocytic carbonic anhydrase activity was demonstrated in lungs of the frog (Rana pipiens), toad (Bufo marinus), and turtle (Pseudemys scripta). The distribution as observed by light microscopy strongly suggested that it related specifically to capillaries. Electron studies lung verified capillary endothelium location this activity. Biochemical assay perfused lungs, corrected for erythrocyte contamination, confirmed occurrence tissue proper. This report thus presents further biological validation recently published techniques demonstrating is accord with certain physiological aspects these species may necessitate presence enzyme cells immediately adjacent pulmonary blood.
