摘要: Fish models are essential for research in many biological and medical disciplines. With a typical lifespan of only 6 months, the Turquoise killifish (Nothobranchius furzeri) was recently established as time- cost-efficient model to facilitate whole-life multigenerational studies several fields, including behavioural ecotoxicology. Essential information on norm how laboratory conditions affect behaviour, however, is deficient. In current study, we examined impact social structural environment broad spectrum endpoints N. furzeri. While enrichment affected fish boldness exploratory rearing density total body length, locomotor activity, boldness, aggressiveness feeding behaviour furzeri individuals. Overall, these results contribute compiling baseline that increases applicability this new species. Furthermore, our findings will fuel development improved husbandry protocols maximize welfare setting.
