摘要: This review is dedicated to the work on chick digestive tract organogenesis that Nicole Le Douarin performed as a PhD student under direction of Etienne Wolf. I discuss how she laid grounds for future by establishing fate maps at somitic stages, describing morphogenetic movements between germ layers and pointing signaling events endoderm mesoderm. Her inspiring was extended others, in particular molecular level, leading better understanding antero-posterior patterning tract. Antero-posterior initiated gastrulation when anterior posterior ingress different times accordingly express genes. Plasticity however maintained somite stages even later, organ primordia can be delineated. There cross-talk mesoderm two exchange instructive signals induce specific identities well permissive required from previously patterned fields. Recent experiments suggest several molecules involved neural tube are also instrumental including retinoic acid FGF4.
