摘要: Our objective was to compare the collagen and muscle content of round ligament uteri in women with pelvic organ prolapse. We evaluated tissue samples obtained from ligaments 22 patients uterine prolapse who underwent vaginal hysterectomy (group A, study) 26 no relaxation whom total abdominal performed for benign reasons B, controls). Morphometric analysis on histologic cross-sections ligament. Sections each sample were stained hematoxylin eosin Masson’s trichrome methods. A computer system used morphometric measurements. independent t-test or Mann-Whitney U test investigate difference between two groups. It found that smooth fraction significantly decreased compared healthy control subjects concluded may be an important pathogenetic factor
