摘要: Background: The HIV/AIDS pandemic has become one of the most important problems public health importance. Although its mode transmission is known, but withincreasing prevalence HIV infection, healthcare workers are substantially at more risk clinical exposure to infected patient. Objective: present study aimed assessHIV- related knowledge and perceptionamong care personnel in selected Primary Health Care Centres Lucknow. Materials methods: This was a Cross-Sectional conducted usingpretested, semi structured questionnaire among 73 comprising staff nurses, laboratory technicians, pharmacists class IV working Centres. Result: Almost all nurses (90.0%), half paramedical (59.3%) only 10% were aware about via. needle stick injury.Less than had vertical HIV. 87.5% believed that worker be high while caring patients. More 80% surgical andobstetrical patients should screened for Conclusion: revealed quite sub-optimal concern several aspects primary personnel. Therefore insights need increase level through orientation programmes
