摘要: IntroductionWhitewater rafting and kayaking are popular, adventurous excursions that provided along various rivers throughout the United States. We expect certain individuals' comorbid medical conditions may increase risk of mortality by preventing them from being physically able to avoid inadvertently entering water subsequently rescue themselves.MethodsRetrospective data were collected 11 El Paso County, Colorado coroner cases 2014–2017 in which individual was whitewater or drowning determined be primary cause death.ResultsHealth characteristics autopsy findings several these individuals revealed a significant number overweight obese (90.9%), with 70% also demonstrating cardiomegaly on examination.
