摘要: Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, has been used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. In order to decrease gastric ulcerogenic effects, aceclofenac gels have developed. This study was conducted develop gel formulation using four types gelling agents: carbopol, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose(HPMC), carboxymethylcellulose sodium (Na CMC) alginate. Effect penetration enhancer (propylene glycol) on release studied. The were evaluated for physical appearance, rheological behavior, drug stability. from all agents through standard cellophane membrane Keshary-Chien diffusion cell. All showed acceptable properties concerning color, homogeneity, consistency, spreadability pH value. Among formulations, carbopol superior than followed by Na CMC, HPMC Drug decreased with increase polymer concentration. not linearly proportional concentration or co-solvents. Stability studies that properties, remained unchanged upon storage two months at ambient conditions.
