摘要: The stockpiling of tailings around coal mines poses a major environmental problem. Nonetheless, this clay mineral (kaolinite)-based waste can be reused as supplementary cementitious material (recycled metakaolinite) in the manufacture future eco-efficient cements. This paper explores most significant scientific questions posed connection with conversion into pozzolans, such variation product mineralogy depending on sintering temperature and its effect reaction kinetics pozzolan/Ca(OH)2 system over period 365 days. findings show that optimal is 600 °C, properties activated are determined solely by kaolinite metakaolinite unaffected other minerals (micas). presence 20% favors formation larger amounts aluminous phases C4AH13 C4AcH12 than reference paste enhances C–S–H gel polymerization.
