摘要: Background Early vitamin supplementation is given routinely to infants in many countries, but it unclear whether this affects the risk of allergic diseases. Objectives We sought study association between early-life vitamins A and D water-soluble form or peanut oil diseases up 4 years age. Methods prospective birth cohort 4089 newborn was followed for using parental questionnaires repeatedly collect information on exposure health. At years, response rate 90%, allergen-specific IgE levels food airborne allergens were measured 2614 participating children. Results Vitamins 98% children infancy, based dominated (90%). Children supplemented with during first year life had an almost 2-fold increased asthma (adjusted odds ratio [OD], 2.18; 95% CI, 1.45-3.28), hypersensitivity OR, 1.89; 1.33-2.65), sensitization common 1.88; 1.34-2.64) at age compared those receiving oil. No antibodies seen Conclusion Supplementation seems increase disease same Clinical implications does not seem childhood.
