摘要: Advances have been made in unravelling the molecular chains of cause and effect that determine cellular responses to radiotherapy, including cell cycle arrest, DNA repair apoptosis. To begin with, cells must mechanisms enable them sense damage. Little was known about this until recently, when a DNA-protein kinase (DNA-PK) system for detecting radiation-induced strand breaks described. The ataxia telangiectasia (ATM) gene has amino acid sequence similarities DNA-PK, raising possibility ATM protein also functions some way as sensor However, just knowing damage is present not enough. Signals be transmitted via afferent biochemical pathways proteins, such p53, which are activated. include apoptosis repair, all relate closely loss clonogenic capacity outcome treatment our patients.
