摘要: Malignant ethmoid and maxillary sinus tumors frequently involve the orbit. Orbital involvement is an important prognostic predictor of recurrence-free, disease-specific, overall survival. Most authors agree that orbital preservation as opposed to exenteration or clearance does not result in significant differences local recurrence actuarial The eye can be safely preserved most patients with cancer invading wall, including malignancies invade soft tissues penetration through periorbita provided they completely dissected away from fat. Malposition globe nonfunctional eyes when have had adequate rigid reconstruction floor, particularly if received postoperative radiotherapy. This underscores importance such reconstruction. Isolated defects following may reconstructed a temporalis muscle flap. Microvascular free-tissue transfer best option for repair total maxillectomy, although obturator still has role selected patients.
