摘要: Adenovirus infection has a tremendous impact on the cellular silencing machinery. Adenoviruses express high amounts of non-coding virus associated (VA) RNAs able to saturate key factors RNA interference (RNAi) processing pathway, such as Exportin 5 and Dicer. Furthermore, proportion VA is cleaved by Dicer into viral microRNAs (mivaRNAs) that can Argonaute, an essential protein for miRNA function. Thus, function miRNAs blocked in adenoviral-infected cells. However, actively target expression genes involved relevant functions cell proliferation, DNA repair or regulation. Interestingly, machinery active at early times post-infection be used control adenovirus cycle. This therapeutic purposes against adenoviral infections when recombinant adenoviruses are vectors gene therapy. Manipulation genome allows use silenced RNAi leading safer with specific tropism. article part "Special Issue entitled:MicroRNAs regulation".
