摘要: Helicases are ubiquitous enzymes that play important roles in all types of DNA transaction the cells. Recently we have reported characterization first DEAD-box helicase [Plasmodium falciparum 60 (PfDH60)] from Plasmodium and shown it is a unique, dual bipolar expressed stage-specific manner. In this study, show further PfDH60. For analyzing significance enzyme parasite growth, studied effect dsRNA specific antibodies on growth parasite. The studies indicate cultures treated with PfDH60 exhibited approximately 50% inhibition when compared either untreated or unrelated dsRNA. It was interesting to note purified immunoglobulins against induced 62% vitro P. inhibitory associated morphologic damage DNA-interacting compounds inhibit ssDNA-dependent ATPase activities Of various tested, only actinomycin, daunorubicin, ethidium bromide, netropsin nogalamycin were able PfDH60, apparent IC50 values for 0.8, 0.3, 2.0, 1.2 1.5 microm, respectively. may be proposed these form complex specifically helicases due obstruction translocation enzyme. These also inhibited culture. This study by helicase, most probably interference cognate mRNA expression.
