摘要: This paper reviews selected recent research on the atomistic simulation of dislocation and defect properties materials relevant to multiscale modeling plasticity strength, with special emphasis bcc metals including work at extreme conditions. Current topics discussed include elasticity ideal structure mobility, grain boundaries, point defects, rapid resolidification, as well noteworthy examples that directly impacts issue linking length and/or time scales, required in modeling. The reviewed has been inspired by international Workshop Multiscale Modeling Materials Strength Failure held October 2001 Bodega Bay, California.
