摘要: Abstract The Aedes aegypti mosquito is a vector of various diseases in both humans and livestock. Mosquito control focuses on reducing the longevity as well population mosquitoes to lessen their damage human animal health. It entails several strategies such environmental management, insecticide treatments, molecular entomological approaches. Environmental management centres elimination breeding sites, however can breed sites that cannot be eliminated. Resultantly, focus turned onto larvae control. objective this study was evaluate larvicidal activity extracts compounds from Clausena anisata against A. . World Health Organization guidelines for testing larvicides were used. acetone, dichloromethane hexane crude leaf evaluated preliminary screening at concentrations 12.5, 25, 50, 100 200 ppm. Batches 25 third-instar transferred into cups each containing test solutions larval mortality recorded 24 h 48 h after exposure. Acetone used solvent whilst permethrin positive Only n-hexane extract caused tested concentrations, thus it further 40, 60, 80, 100, 120 ppm had LC 50 values 68.30 59.65 ppm respectively. A stored extract, 2 months, also under simulated field conditions establish stability extract. about 90% when 100 ppm. subjected open column chromatography silica gel isolate active compound. isolated compound identified pyranocoumarin, seselin. Dose dependent observed exposed 24 13.90 9.96 ppm Results obtained indicate potential incorporation C. populations.
