摘要: Abstract We provide the first report on winter concentrations of 32 trace metals from dovekies (Alle alle), a small, Arctic seabird that has seasonal shift in diet small zooplankton breeding season to larger and fish non-breeding season. Concentrations selected elements, as well stable carbon (δ13C) nitrogen (δ15N) isotope for sample 25 dovekies, were similar between adult males females, there was evidence feeding at higher trophic levels had hepatic Hg. also found plastic debris nine 65 (14%) gizzards examined. Our study helps more complete picture foraging ecology contaminant profile an important species marine food webs.
