摘要: The expression and distribution of metallothionein (MT) in frozen sections normal pathological human skin was studied using the monoclonal antibody L2E3 directed against MT derived from fetal liver. Immunohistochemical staining adult revealed strong reactivity basal keratinocytes epidermis outer hair root sheath, matrix cells secretory coil, but not exocrine portion eccrine glands; myoepithelial around apocrine sweat glands were similarly stained. In epidermal hyperplasia, variable numbers suprabasal stained, whereas interface dermatitis, interrupted found layer. Weak or scattered observed squamous tumours, cell carcinomas did show consistent staining. line with germinative role cells, its hyperplastic experimental animal data, reflected increase pool these conditions. It is concluded that may serve as a valuable immunohistochemical marker diagnostic cutaneous pathology since it labels selectively, discriminates between glands.
