摘要: The cell division cycle of most phytoplankton cells is phased by the environmental light/dark in some fashion. Evidence from culture work (e.g. 1–7) and field studies 8–13) consistently shows that, species grown on cycles, instantaneous population rate, μt, varies with a 24-hr periodicity. In majority species, occurs primarily dark period (5, 14). dinoflagellates it usually restricted to hours near dawn (9,12,13,15) appears that diatoms tend divide more during daylight (7). Although these generalizations are no means absolute, they invite speculation concerning underlying physiological causes phasing various groups.
