摘要: To investigate the association of alcohol intake with mortality from all causes, cardiovascular disease (CVD), cancer and other causes (e.g., accidents, violence, suicide), we performed an analysis data obtained in a prospective follow-up study conducted Netherlands since 1977. Causes death were defined for cohort 1,620 persons (760 men 860 women) examined During 10-year period, 123 (7.6%) participants died. Frequency consumption was separately wine, beer liquor by means questionnaire. Although no significant could be established between all-cause mortality, tended to lower consumers compared abstainers. The age- sex-adjusted risk estimates CVD 0.29 (0.11-0.74), 0.46 (0.21-0.96) 0.32 (0.13-0.77) subjects occasional, frequent daily use, respectively, those who did not drink at baseline. risks never-drinkers ex-drinkers similar. A J- or U-shaped relation confirmed our but available information on amount consumed limited. No influence found. However, higher more alcohol. protective effect found persisted after excluding major diseases baseline analysis.
